How can we help?

Everything you need to know about Morn — plans, terminology, analytics, and how each feature actually works. Search below or jump to a section.

Getting started

Create your account and run your first inspection in under five minutes.

How do I sign up?

Click "Sign in / Join" or "Start Free Trial" at the top of any page. Pick the Essential plan if you want to start without a card, or any paid plan to begin a 7-day free trial on Individual and Collaborative.

What's the difference between the plans?

Essential (free) is a 3-seat starter for small teams. Pay-per-Check is a credit-based plan for occasional inspectors. Individual is a solo monthly plan. Collaborative is a 10-seat team plan. Believer is a one-time lifetime license capped at 100 founding members. See the Pricing page for capacity, storage, and feature breakdown.

How do I run my first inspection?

From the Dashboard, click "Start Audit". Pick a template (we ship dozens of system templates ready to use), answer the questions, attach photos with annotations if needed, then click Submit. Your report is auto-saved as a draft along the way — close the tab and pick up where you left off on any device.

Can I use Morn offline?

Yes. Once an inspection is open, it works fully offline — answer questions, take photos, sign off — and everything syncs the moment you're back online. Available on every plan.

Plans & billing

How pricing, credits, trials, and storage actually work.

How does Pay-per-Check work?

Each purchase grants one inspection credit. The credit is consumed only when you click Submit on a completed report — drafts and previews are free. Top up another credit any time; credits never expire.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Individual and Collaborative include a 7-day free trial — your card is charged $0.00 at checkout and the first real invoice fires only after the trial ends. Cancel anytime before then from Settings → Billing.

Is my data deleted if I downgrade?

Never. Past inspections, templates, and reports stay accessible forever. Caps only apply to new operations — e.g., on Essential you can still view 100 historical inspections, but can only create 5 new ones per month.

Why is Believer a one-time payment?

Believer is a lifetime license offered to our first 100 supporters. Pay $299 once and keep every premium feature forever. After all 100 slots are claimed, the tier is closed permanently — no future Believer purchases.

Can I switch between plans?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately (you can use new features right away). Downgrades and cancellations are scheduled at the end of your current billing cycle — you keep all current features until then. From Settings → Billing you'll see a banner showing the pending change and a one-click "Keep my current plan" undo. Your data is always preserved on any plan change.

Templates

Reusable checklists that power every inspection.

What's a template?

A template is a reusable inspection checklist made of sections (groups) and standards (questions). When you run an inspection, you pick a template, answer its questions, and submit.

What are sections and standards?

A section is a logical group like "Site Safety" or "Cleanliness". Standards are the individual questions inside a section — each one has a type (Yes/No, text, number, or photo) and can be marked required.

How many templates can I create?

Essential: 3 templates with up to 20 standards each. Pay-per-Check: 5 × 50. Individual: 8 × 60. Collaborative and Believer: unlimited templates and standards.

Can I import templates from a spreadsheet?

Yes. On the Templates page, click Import → Download CSV Template → fill it in Excel or Google Sheets (each row is one question, rows sharing a Template Title become the same template) → upload. Available from Collaborative and Believer.

Can I use templates other people created?

Yes. The Template Center includes a library of pre-built system templates (Operations, Safety, Maintenance, etc.). Add them to your account in one click.

Inspections & reports

Draft, conduct, submit, and share your inspections.

What's the difference between a draft and a submitted inspection?

A draft is in-progress — you can come back to it on any device, edit answers, add photos. A submitted inspection is locked, generates the final report, and is what counts toward your monthly inspection quota or PPC credit consumption.

Can I attach photos with annotations?

Yes. Any question can accept photos, and the built-in annotator lets you draw arrows, add text, and stamp markers directly on the image before saving.

How do I share or export a report?

After submission, click Export → PDF on the inspection page, or share the read-only Online Report link with colleagues or clients. Available on every plan.

Does Morn auto-save?

Yes — every answer, photo, and section toggle is auto-saved. Close the tab, lose connection, swap devices — nothing is lost.

Issues & tasks

Track problems and follow-up work that come out of inspections.

What's an issue?

When a standard fails or you spot a problem during an inspection, you can flag it as an issue. Issues live on the Issues page with status (Open / In progress / Resolved), photos, and notes.

What's a task?

A task is the follow-up action assigned to fix an issue — e.g., "Replace fire extinguisher by Friday". On Collaborative and Believer, admins can assign tasks to team members with due dates. Essential supports assignment without due dates.

How many open issues can I have?

Unlimited on every plan. Resolved issues are kept forever too — useful for compliance and audit history.

Analytics terminology

What each chart means and how the numbers are calculated.

Inspections Trend

A line chart of inspections submitted per day over the selected window. Counts only submitted inspections — drafts don't register. Useful for spotting weekly rhythm and dips.

Score / Passing Rate

The percentage of standards that passed in each inspection. A standard is "passed" when its answer matches the expected value (Yes for Yes/No questions, non-empty for text/number, photo present for photo questions). Inspection score = passed standards ÷ total standards × 100.

Streak

The number of consecutive days you've submitted at least one inspection. Resets at midnight UTC if a day passes with zero submissions. A small badge on your dashboard celebrates milestones (3, 7, 30, 100 days).

Goal threshold

The target score (%) you set for yourself or your org. Bars in the Score chart turn green when above the goal, amber below. Default is 80%; customizable on Pay-per-Check and above. Collaborative/Believer admins set a Global Goal that applies to everyone in the org.

Open vs Resolved Issues

Open Issues = anything with status not yet "Resolved". Resolved Issues = closed work. The doughnut chart shows the current split; the trend lines show new vs resolved per week.

People tab (team analytics)

Collaborative and Believer only. Shows per-member inspection counts, average scores, issues opened/resolved, and streak. Helps admins spot top performers and team members who might need support.

What's Basic vs Advanced analytics?

Basic = personal metrics: your inspections, score, streak, your issues. Available on Essential, Pay-per-Check, Individual. Advanced adds team-wide analytics (People tab), trend insights, weekly digest emails, and Excel/PDF analytics export. Available on Collaborative and Believer.

Why don't I see today's inspection in the chart?

Submitted inspections roll into charts within 60 seconds. If it's been longer, refresh — and confirm the inspection was submitted (not still in Draft).

Storage

How photo and file storage is counted across plans.

What counts toward storage?

Every photo you attach to an inspection, every annotated image, and any file uploaded to an issue. Templates, text answers, and report metadata are negligible.

Is storage shared with my team?

On Essential, Collaborative, and Believer, storage is pooled at the org level — every seat shares one bucket (150 MB, 50 GB, 50 GB respectively). On Pay-per-Check and Individual, storage is per-account.

What happens when I hit the limit?

Uploads are blocked until you free up space or upgrade. Existing photos remain accessible — nothing is deleted. Pay-per-Check users gain +50 MB per credit top-up (up to a 5 GB hard cap).

Roles — Admin vs Member

Who can do what on team plans.

Admin

Conducts & assigns inspections, assigns issue follow-ups, views all reports created by any team member, sets due dates (Individual, Collaborative, Believer), and invites/manages team members.

Member

Conducts inspections, follows up on issues assigned to them, and updates status on assigned issues. Cannot view reports created by other members or assign work to others.

How do I invite a team member?

Settings → Team → "Invite member". They'll get an email with a join link. Only counts against your seat quota once they accept.

What happens when I remove a team member?

Removing a member frees their seat right away, but all their data (inspections, photos, issues, history) is preserved. You can still view and export their past reports any time from the Inspections page, and a list of archived members lives at the bottom of Settings → Team.

How do I transfer admin rights to someone else?

Settings → Team → click the crown icon next to any active member. Confirm the transfer; you immediately become a regular member and they become the admin. Use this when handing the team over to a coworker.

Our admin left the company — how do we recover the account?

Any active member can go to Settings → Team and click "Request ownership recovery". Briefly explain the situation (admin resigned, unreachable, etc.). Our team reviews requests within one business day. Once approved, you become the new admin and the previous admin is demoted to a regular member. Their inspection history is preserved either way.

Account & data

Profile, security, and data handling.

How do I change my password?

Settings → Account → Change password. If you're locked out, use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page; we'll email a reset link via noreply@getmorn.com.

What's the "Powered by Morn" watermark?

A small badge that appears on exported PDF reports. It's on by default for every plan and helps spread the word — we keep it minimal and tasteful.

Where is my data hosted?

Encrypted at rest on managed MongoDB and a private object store. Audit logs track every plan change, brute-force login attempt, and pricing-tier edit for full transparency.

Support & feedback

How to get help and influence what we build next.

I found a bug — what do I do?

Click the floating "Report Bug" button (bottom-right) on any signed-in page. We get the report instantly along with the URL, console logs, and an optional screenshot.

I have a feature idea

Visit Roadmap → "Suggest a feature". Vote and comment on what other users have proposed. We promote popular requests to milestones as they get built.

How do I contact support?

Reply to any system email (it lands in our inbox), or use the in-app Feedback widget in Settings. We aim to respond within one business day — priority support is bundled with Pay-per-Check and above.

Still stuck?

We read every message.

Tell us what's tripping you up — we usually respond within a business day, and feedback often becomes a feature on the next release.
